By completing this curriculum to the standards of the IxDF Educational Codex, Armin Sadri has demonstrated mastery of how to:
Design user-centered augmented reality experiences that meaningfully integrate digital content with physical environments.
Identify and frame problems for which AR is the uniquely appropriate solution.
Conduct user research and place research to surface contextual constraints and design opportunities.
Evaluate context of use across user, task, environmental, device, social, and cultural dimensions.
Craft place-based narratives that leverage spatial memory and emotional arc to drive engagement.
Design for collaborative and social AR using shared-state, dynamic-join, and synchronization principles.
Apply principles of spatial cognition to optimize the field of view, viewing distance, and direct manipulation.
Employ affordances and signifiers to create intuitive three-dimensional interfaces.
Balance immersion with physical and social safety across diverse real-world deployment contexts.
Prototype AR concepts using both low-fidelity methods and industry-standard digital tools.
Conduct heuristic evaluations using the Labrie & Cheng framework, adapted from Nielsen and Molich.
Plan, recruit for, and facilitate usability tests tailored to the constraints of spatial interfaces.
Design cross-device ecosystems that preserve continuity across AR, mobile, desktop, and VR.
Iterate designs through the cycle of testing, feedback, and refinement.
