About this role

  • As an Interaction Designer, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including UX designers, front-end developers, researchers, and software engineers—to design services, products, and tools that align with user needs
  • You will lead the design process, focusing on user interactions to ensure intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for government services
  • Understand User Journeys: Engage with research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points, ensuring design solutions are grounded in user insights
  • Prototype Development: Create and iterate on prototypes to test, validate, and communicate design ideas, improving the product based on feedback
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work in an agile environment alongside developers, researchers, and other designers to translate concepts into effective user-cantered designs
  • Interaction Design: Lead efforts to design how users interact with the product, identifying areas for improvement and enhancement
  • Typography and Affordance: Utilize typography, visual hierarchy, and affordance to improve usability and optimize the user experience
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels, ensuring design decisions align with user needs and business goals, including support at senior departmental levels
  • Continuous Improvement: Review and analyse existing designs and identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation within the product lifecycle
