FINAL UPDATE: Hi people. So,here are the details for our online meeting this Saturday at 2pm (Montreal time).

As I said the goal of this online meeting is to get to know each one of us a little bit, so we can share with the group our experience and motivations about VR/AR (maybe in the future we can separate them, that is, having events specificly focused on VR or AR). I know some people might have a lot of experience and maybe others not so much. But even if you don't have much experience please tell us what excites you the most in the field.

We will have the challenge to keep this meeting very short (40 min), so once we start, I will check how many are actually in the room and we can then divide the time accordingly. After this first meeting, I will have a better idea of the community and we can then start to organize in-person meetings with guest speakers and focus on certain topics.

Please, access the meeting using the following link: https://zoom.us/j/594231485?pwd=OHBrSnNWNmErelRvSm...

All you need to do is to click on the link! If you never used Zoom before, try to access the meeting room 5 minutes before 2pm, just in case. :) At 2pm we will start. It will be great to meet all of you and I truly hope this can be the beginning of a great community.

Hopefully, it will work just fine!

See you all soon!

Felipe

PS: No one said anything about speaking only french, so I am inferring we are all comfortable with English. However, as I said I also don't mind if we have people speaking in French. We are in Montreal, so more than fair to make of this community a friendly and openly bilingual one.

Hi IxDF Montreal, let's meet online and discuss UX for VR! In our video call, let's get to know each other and share UX problems we’re facing and discuss how we can solve them. If we all feel comfortable, we can then schedule a day to meet in person!

Hello, I am new to the group. I marked it down, but cannot commit to joining 100% due to a personal commitment. Would love the contact info to try to join!

Hi Everyone! Thank you Felipe for organizing this meet up! I am extremely interested, but I have a prevention to being able to join you this afternoon. I will keep an eye out and I look forward to joining for the in-person meeting! I'm also just wondering what is the best way for us to share email address with you, and I believe non-IDF members could also join if they are interested ? Thank you!

I’m sorry I missed that! How did it go?

Est-ce qu’on pourrait penser organiser un meetup en personne par trimestre? On pourrait essayer d’avoir un.e conférencier.ère, suivi de discussion

Questions? We've Got Answers

What is an IxDF Local Group and why should I join one?

An IxDF Local Group is a meeting point for people with a passion for design in your city.

You don't need to be a designer, just passionate about great design and how it can improve your work and career.

Meetups are the heartbeat of IxDF Local Groups, whether we meet at a café, a creative space or a local company. There's nothing quite like the magic of meeting face-to-face to share ideas and inspiration.

We also host regular IxDF Design Dinners, where we enjoy great food and help each other learn and grow. Even a simple coffee meetup in a café can ignite collaborations and friendships that last a lifetime.

You'll also have a private and exclusive online forum where you can openly get help and career advice.

Simply put, we learn together and smile together.

You'll expand your career network, discover new skills, explore job opportunities, meet potential clients, or even find your next dedicated team member when you join an xDF Local Group.

Remember: Your network is your net worth.
