The UX of Brunch @ Koffee Pot

Add to your calendar:

Koffee Pot is a staple breakfast and brunch place in Manchester. Here's an excuse to eat brunch and discuss how the experience of brunch is designed and delivered.

Why are the tables a certain way? Why is the menu a certain length? Why do servers always ask for your drink first? Why are these brunch items in the first place?

Bonus: meet your local IxDF community!

    Hi Matthew,

The IDF meetups so far we kept in a bit more relaxed environment. At first we just get to know each other: what do you do, how did you get into UX/Interaction Design or why are you interested in UX / ID etc.
We always do have some kind of topic to discuss and as this is a brunch meetup, we wanted to have a discussion about the design and the delivery of brunch experience. But that is just a starting point.

It would be awesome if you would bring your own ideas that you would like to discuss during this meetup or maybe you have a UX problem at work that needs a bit of a brainstorm from different level of experience people. This is the place to have a chat about it. But you don't have to prepared anything if you don't want to, our discussions usually just flow from one topic to another.

Looking forward to meeting you on Saturday. We are a friendly bunch.

P.S. We do have a bit more planned meetup coming up on 17th April. It will be more of a workshop style where we look into Mental Model mapping.

What is an IxDF Local Group and why should I join one?

An IxDF Local Group is a meeting point for people with a passion for design in your city.

You don't need to be a designer, just passionate about great design and how it can improve your work and career.

Meetups are the heartbeat of IxDF Local Groups, whether we meet at a café, a creative space or a local company. There's nothing quite like the magic of meeting face-to-face to share ideas and inspiration.

We also host regular IxDF Design Dinners, where we enjoy great food and help each other learn and grow. Even a simple coffee meetup in a café can ignite collaborations and friendships that last a lifetime.

You'll also have a private and exclusive online forum where you can openly get help and career advice.

Simply put, we learn together and smile together.
