Hi everyone, and thanks for the messages! This is shaping up to be a great meetup. I’m enjoying organising it.

This meetup will be the first of a series, and it’s a chance for us to meet and discuss what will be most relevant for everyone to learn. Rather than assuming what I think you need, I’d prefer to ask you. Once I know that, my plan is to focus each following meetup on a specific topic with a guest speaker.

About language… My Czech is basic, Prague has lots of expat designers, and IxDF presents materials in English so I feel it makes the most sense to hold the meetups in English.

I hope that works for everyone?

    Ben

Hi! I was planning on organising some meetups in Prague as well. So I’m in!
I think that, beside the topic, is also important to understand the audience that will be invited to join (e.g. level of experience, industry of interest, design specialisation..). Based on the above, we could have different types of meetups (e.g. career growth, skills development, portfolio reviews…).

Happy to support further, and can’t wait to attend the first meetup!

Having a guest speaker is an amazing idea, Ben!
The previous meetups I participated in lacked a clear agenda, which negatively impacted the exchange between participants 🫠

I have been working as a designer of AI applications for the last five years and will be starting a PhD in Human-AI Interaction next year. Sometimes I write articles, and I absolutely love exploring human-AI teams—that’s my main area of interest.

Other topics that interest me are:

    • Design Systems: All aspects, including incorporating accessibility, design system management tools like ZeroHeight and Supernova, and fostering collaboration and contribution.

    • Marketing and Business: Topics such as competitor research, hypothesis-driven design, business strategy

    • Prototyping and Handoff: Real-life challenges in collaboration with developers and data science teams, as well as strategies for managing these challenges effectively.

    • Accessibility and EAA: Your approach to accessibility audits, including tools and resources used.

Looking forward to learning other’s interests 🙂

Hey Nicoletta, that's great you'll come along! I think the best first step is to get all the interested people together and discuss what they want to learn. Let’s chat ideas and see what to do next

Hello, great idea. Will there be a presentation or meeting agenda? If so, will the presentation be in Czech or English? Or is it just a meeting without an agenda?
