    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to IxDF, and am looking forward to starting the UX Designer track. I've been a Web Administrator / Digital marketer for a number of years and am looking to dive deeper and actual influence the products I have been maintaining. Shy by nature at first, I open up quickly, especially over tea! I'm excited to meet you all to connect, share ideas and learn!

This will actually be the first meet up I clicked to attend, though I won't be there in person, so I'm hoping I can link up/communicate with you all via PC online or mobile.

Hello everyone!! I am new to UX design completely and am still in the learning/ discovery phase. I hope to be able to, by the end of my courses in IDF, be able to successfully marry my two bachelor's degrees (Cultural Anthropology & Graphic Design) together to help us all live better and more responsible planetary lives.

While at it, I have a question for the design community. Why do we need metro cards in a smart phone era?

Kanwaldeep, a warm welcome to UX! I can totally relate to your journey. I just transitioned into UX at the beginning of this year and I know it can be challenging, but also very rewarding when you are mission-driven, and I can tell you are. I genuinely think you have an amazing perspective being in the intersection of anthropology and design; your contributions will speak for themselves. I encourage you to keep participating on these discussions, and please join our Slack channel, Facebook and LinkedIn groups if you haven't already. Links below.

About your question, really good one! I think it'd be great to get a chance to discuss it personally with the group. I hope you'll bring it up at the meetup!

Questions? We've Got Answers

What is an IxDF Local Group and why should I join one?

An IxDF Local Group is a meeting point for people with a passion for design in your city.

You don't need to be a designer, just passionate about great design and how it can improve your work and career.

Meetups are the heartbeat of IxDF Local Groups, whether we meet at a café, a creative space or a local company. There's nothing quite like the magic of meeting face-to-face to share ideas and inspiration.

We also host regular IxDF Design Dinners, where we enjoy great food and help each other learn and grow. Even a simple coffee meetup in a café can ignite collaborations and friendships that last a lifetime.

You'll also have a private and exclusive online forum where you can openly get help and career advice.

Simply put, we learn together and smile together.

You'll expand your career network, discover new skills, explore job opportunities, meet potential clients, or even find your next dedicated team member when you join an xDF Local Group.

Remember: Your network is your net worth.

Here's what you can expect:
