About
Piyush is a design and innovation leader with over 21 years of experience in product and service companies. He has actively led teams to deliver useful, intuitive, inviting, and engaging products.
He has built and scaled the design team from the ground up, collectively solving complex problems, designing innovative solutions, and delivering delightful products. For this, he established user-centered design processes and a culture of empathy, collaboration, and creativity.
As a leader, he built practices that helped transform cross-team collaboration, including design thinking mindset, design-led product strategy and product development, and scaling design talent across the organization. He has also led multi-functional teams in building highly engaging and interactive experiences across the desktop, web, and other digital platforms (inclusive of touch & motion-input devices).
In addition to his corporate responsibility, he also provides design mentorship and conducts design thinking workshops. He is a visiting lecturer at ISDI & NMIMS. He has provided design mentorship to hundreds of prospective designers in India and abroad.
At present, Piyush is a Director of Design at Walmart International. Before joining Walmart, he has worked for IBM, HFI, Indigo Consulting, and Idealake.
