Some feedback from someone who attended:

I absolutely loved the event. Great audience with a nice mix of people and backgrounds. I think Orange was a nice sponsor, that gave practically full creative freedom to participants and they were mostly eager to learn from us and our ideas. Catering was great, as well as the venue which had plenty of space and facilities.

We started prototyping with Halo which is a Sketch like tool in the cloud for VR/AR prototyping. Unfortunately, the tool wasn't really for primetime yet and we decided to abandon it early-on, although I think it has a promising future if they fix the UX ;) One of our team members was skilled in Unity 3D so we decided to use that for our prototype.

Our concept was OurSpace, a shared space in VR for two people in a long distance relationship. In this space, you could hang-out together, watch Netflix, play games or leave notes for when the other person was not around. When to people live apart, they lack this shared space since both live apart from each other in their 'MySpace'. The concept turned out great, and we won 'best use of tool'.

I will definitely participate again in future hackathons, although I think it would be even better if we would really hack for 24 hours (overnight) since the actually time that we could work on ideas was quite limited which was a pity since we had an amazing team!

If you want to explore an alternative to Halo: check out this event tonight: A-Frame Beginners Workshop - get started with WebVR. See you there?!

Hi, this event says it is free to attend on the IxDF site, but also that we get a 50% discount as IxDF members. I would like to attend, but i'm not sure if i'm supposed to pay to secure my spot. The mobileUXLondon website looks like I need to pay. Can anyone clarify what I need to do?

    Thanks in advance
