He's also worked on notable projects such as the Bay Lights, Gaspar Brasserie, San Francisco's Park System SFPark, and recently redesigned GrabFood. Most recently, his journey has taken him from designing within the Western world ideals to now learning and adapting to Southeast Asia's culture and technology. Jay will share his learnings, his struggles, and his process in designing for Southeast Asia in times like this.
Camille Gribbons
A product designer at Booking.com currently working on payments - however, before joining payments, she worked on a localized product for Southeast Asia called BookingLokal, Booking.com's domestic travel app for Indonesia. During her time on BookingLokal, Camille saw first-hand how different design was between eastern and western cultures. Outside of work, Camille loves to play Dungeons and Dragons as both a player and dungeon master. Fun fact: Camille is a classically trained singer and originally intended on pursuing her musical theatre dreams before settling into design.
