CappUXcino + Coffee

Add to your calendar:

Hi IxDF San Diego, let's meet up and network over coffee! We've started CappUXcino & Coffee with some wonderful UXers where we share UX insights and resources, discuss UX problems you are facing now, and complete UX research/design-thinking exercises and activities.

With the UX community growing ever so rapidly in San Diego, some gaps have been created. The goal is to minimize, and ultimately, close the gap between very experienced UX professionals and up-and-coming/junior-level UXers. There is room for everyone in our industry. We'd love to have you as part of our growing community. The CappUXcino & Coffee meetup is your opportunity to meet others interested in growing their chops just like you, while learning and growing your skills.

+ Are you new to User Experience and feel intimidated and out-of-place at larger meetups?

+ Do you prefer smaller, more intimate meetups so your voice can be heard?

+ Would you like to be around other new designers like yourself so that you know you're not alone?

+ Are you looking for a mentor to help you grow in the User Experience industry?

+ Do you appreciate a good space with good vibes and good people?

If you have answered yes to any or all of these questions, we would like to see you at this meetup. Come meet some of your other design peers in San Diego!

For those of you who don’t live downtown (in walking distance) or take public transportation to the meetup, sometimes parking may be a bit of an issue. I wanted to share a link to an app I use called ParkWhiz. They offer deeply discounted parking rates at parking structures and even hotels for valet (not just downtown). If you don’t find free street parking close to the venue, there are usually spots you can find via ParkWhiz (within a few blocks) ranging from $3 and up, depending on the time and location. You won’t have to worry about a 2-hour meter feeding.

If you use this link, I believe you’ll receive $5 credit after your first use. Hopefully this helps.

Questions? We've Got Answers

What is an IxDF Local Group and why should I join one?

An IxDF Local Group is a meeting point for people with a passion for design in your city.

You don't need to be a designer, just passionate about great design and how it can improve your work and career.

Meetups are the heartbeat of IxDF Local Groups, whether we meet at a café, a creative space or a local company. There's nothing quite like the magic of meeting face-to-face to share ideas and inspiration.

We also host regular IxDF Design Dinners, where we enjoy great food and help each other learn and grow. Even a simple coffee meetup in a café can ignite collaborations and friendships that last a lifetime.

You'll also have a private and exclusive online forum where you can openly get help and career advice.

Simply put, we learn together and smile together.

You'll expand your career network, discover new skills, explore job opportunities, meet potential clients, or even find your next dedicated team member when you join an xDF Local Group.
