GitHub for Designers: What You Need to Know to Work with AI
Price
In this Master Class, you’ll:
-
Get excited to open a GitHub repository and actually know what you're looking at. Underneath the unfamiliar labels are five concepts that build on instincts you already have: repository, commit, branch, pull request, merge. You'll learn them through analogies from your own workflow, so you can finally understand what each means and when to reach for it.
-
Make yourself invaluable by working safely alongside AI coding agents, from a one-line fix to a full feature. You'll learn to review what they build and know when to step in, so you can decide when to let the agent handle version control silently and when to slow down and read the diff yourself. With simple guardrails you can set up, you'll protect your work from the most common AI-agent mistakes, including the ones that can't be easily undone.
-
Gain confidence and credibility with a repeatable habit loop you can apply immediately, guided by Rafael Hernandez, a product design leader who ships real products with agentic workflows. You'll leave with a one-page cheat sheet, a ready-to-use rules file for your AI agent, and a guardrail setup checklist, all delivered in a GitHub repository. With this practical toolkit, you'll have everything you need to find your way around a repository, even if you've never opened one before.
You’ll learn from the best:
- Rafael Hernandez: Lead Product Designer, T. Rowe Price.
