Christopher Scaffidi is the founder of Fervent Workshop, his own web development business in Corvallis, Oregon, which he started in 2020. From 2009 to 2020 he was on the faculty of Oregon State University, where he was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2015 and served as Associate School Head from 2018 to 2020. He earned his PhD in Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in 2009. His research focused on end-user programming, including tools that help people find, reuse and learn from code.
