📋 Description

• Build the front-end layer for internal tools and workflow applications
• Work alongside AI Engineer and Cloud Engineer teams
• Translate modernization and automation work into clean, accessible, user-facing interfaces
• Build and maintain production-ready React applications
• Refactor legacy codebases and components into modern architecture
• Integrate with backend and data scripts written by the AI engineering team
• Implement responsive, cross-browser user interfaces
• Configure and maintain modern front-end environments
• Build interfaces compliant with federal accessibility requirements
• Consume REST APIs built by backend and data engineering teams
• Configure and write unit and integration tests
• Translate UX/UI design mockups into production code
• Work in CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum delivery teams
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations for financial and regulatory data

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of experience with a BS/BA, 3 years with an MS/MA, or 0 years with a PhD
• US Citizenship
• Public Trust eligibility
• Proficiency building and maintaining production-ready React applications
• Ability to refactor legacy codebases and components into modern architecture
• Basic Python proficiency for integrating backend/data scripts
• Modern CSS3, responsive layouts using Flexbox/Grid, and cross-browser styling
• JavaScript ES6+
• TypeScript
• Familiarity with Makefile, Dockerfile, Node.js, npm, Webpack, and Vite environment configurations
• Practical understanding of Section 508 and federal accessibility requirements
• Background as a Web Developer or UI/UX Developer
• Portfolio of shipped, production interfaces
• Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, and/or Jest for unit and integration testing preferred
• Fluency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD preferred
• REST API integration experience preferred
• Front-end testing with Playwright or React Testing Library preferred
• Git/version control and CI/CD pipeline experience preferred
• Exposure to AWS front-end deployments such as S3/CloudFront or Amplify preferred
• Agile/Scrum experience with non-technical stakeholders valued
• State management experience with Redux, Context API, or similar valued
• Familiarity with Jira, SharePoint, or GitHub Issues valued
• Familiarity with USWDS or similar federal/enterprise design systems valued
• Data visualization library experience with D3.js, Chart.js, or similar valued
• Prior government or public-sector digital service experience valued

• Base salary range of $80,000–$128,000 per year
