About the role

At [REDACTED], we're looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract and help create meaningful, intuitive and engaging experiences for our customers.

In this role, you'll use user-centred design methodologies to understand customer needs and behaviours and turn those insights into experiences that make a real difference. Working across our digital and physical customer touchpoints, you'll balance customer needs, business objectives and technical feasibility to deliver solutions that are intuitive, accessible and impactful.

You'll collaborate with Online, Technology, Design, Commercial and broader business teams, championing the customer throughout the design process and helping create experiences that strengthen customer satisfaction, engagement and loyalty.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and optimise intuitive and engaging customer experiences across digital and physical touchpoints.
• Turn customer research, insights and data into customer journeys, wireframes, prototypes and refined design solutions.
• Plan and facilitate user research, usability testing and workshops to understand customer needs and validate ideas.
• Partner with Online, Commercial, Technology, Design and business stakeholders to solve problems, champion customer needs and help shape product direction.
• Use customer insights and data to clearly communicate design thinking and recommendations to stakeholders and development teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system and help improve design processes, tools and ways of working.

About you

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in UX/UI, Product Design, UX Research or a similar design role.
• Strong knowledge of user-centred design principles, with experience across research, usability testing, workshops, wireframing and prototyping.
• Good knowledge of contemporary interface and interaction design across web and mobile.
• Confident using design tools such as [REDACTED] and using customer insights and data to inform design decisions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate your design thinking.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous and changing environments, driving design outcomes across teams with differing levels of design maturity.
• Experience in eCommerce or a medium to large organisation would be highly regarded, with an interest in psychology, behavioural economics or emerging technology a bonus.
