- Establish and lead a repeatable qualitative research cadence covering intake, prioritization, study design, fieldwork, synthesis, and readout
- Manage qualitative research studies to consistent quality and deadlines in partnership with Design and Product
- Build and test participant outreach channels and partner with clinic and operations teams to improve access
- Own and expand the reusable qualitative research toolkit, including guides, consent, recruitment paths, and a repository
- Partner with designers to turn clinic shadowing into shared generative methods and reusable insights
- Propose practical, privacy-protective AI norms for interview notes, synthesis, and recruitment support
- Partner with quantitative UX research to connect behavioral data with generative insights and sharpen measurement hypotheses
- Lead generative research into patient goals, decisions, confusion, and concerns across the [REDACTED] journey
- Design and moderate interviews, contextual research, and other discovery methods for sensitive health decisions
- Synthesize findings into personas, opportunity areas, journey frames, decision maps, and prioritized insights
- Inform how findings and risk are explained to patients
- Plan and conduct research with sound judgment regarding privacy, consent, emotional load, HIPAA, IRB, and compliance
- Identify research requests that could overreach, bias participants, or undermine long-term trust
- Translate ambiguous product and experience questions into generative research questions and appropriate qualitative methods
- Explain the goals, barriers, and mental models behind patient behavior and propose actionable experience changes
- Bring findings into roadmap and design discussions early enough to influence direction
- Document and socialize qualitative learning across teams
๐ฏ Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on qualitative or UX research in a product, service, or applied research setting
- End-to-end ownership of generative studies, including planning, recruitment, moderation, synthesis, and storytelling
- Experience building or testing recruitment and outreach channels
- Evidence of improving how a team conducts research, such as cadence, guides, recruitment, or a light repository, while working cross-functionally
- Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
- Must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa, currently or in the future
- Preference for candidates physically located near an existing [REDACTED] clinic
- Successful candidates must undergo a background check
