About the Role

The UX Designer will be an integral part of Team Customer, contributing their design expertise to various squads and projects. The primary focus of this role is to ensure a comprehensive and seamless customer experience across our Merchant, Gifting, and Payment products, catering to both our Merchant customers and their end-user consumers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of design-thinking methodologies, employing a range of tools and techniques to conduct customer and team research, develop user experience designs, and produce final design assets. Moreover, they will ensure that all design efforts align with our strategic business objectives.

You will be responsible for shaping the user experience across our digital products and platforms. You will work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing to translate user needs and business goals into intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Core responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements to enhance experiences for [REDACTED] merchants and our customers.
  • Conduct research and experiments to continually explore, test and learn insights that improve our overall experience and customer engagement.
  • Take a strategic, customer-first approach to everything you do. Work as part of the team to understand, monitor and then deliver solutions that increase positive customer sentiment aligned to our business outcomes.
  • Be a champion for the customer in every conversation you engage in. Whilst partnering with cross functional stakeholder groups across [REDACTED].
  • Ensure the scope, interactions and end to end experience of the digital products are satisfying customer needs by working across product, technology, analytics, UI, content, marketing, Site Ops teams.
  • Ensure the optimal implementation of the product by ensuring the UX customer centric methodology approach is well thought out and considered.
  • Be the custodian of our digital experience guidelines and ensure projects are delivered on time and effectively.

What you’ll bring

  • Collaborative attitude and experience working in an agile delivery environment
  • Has evidence in your portfolio of delivering large complex work within an enterprise environment
  • Is a developing and maturing Design Thinking Framework mindset, methods and approaches and has actively led this through their work
  • Can confidently communicate, facilitate and articulate their direction, vision with ease among many levels of the business
  • Has led, discovery experience work both generatively and feature level evaluation
