📋 Description
- Create high-quality artifacts conveying conceptual aspects of data-driven experiences, including visualization, storytelling, and AI insights
- Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces
- Design visual representations of AI outputs, including predictions, recommendations, confidence levels, and model reasoning
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, business analysts, front-end and back-end engineers, QA, and project managers
- Participate in primary and secondary research with customers, employees, and business stakeholders
- Identify personas and create journey maps, service blueprints, application maps, and task flow diagrams
- Work in an agile software development environment
- Present design work and explain visual, architectural, and interaction decisions, including AI transparency and explainability
- Collaborate with product managers to create user stories and project documentation
- Participate in design critique sessions and provide and respond to feedback
- Report to the Director of Product Management
🎯 Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience creating data visualization UX designs
- Demonstrated experience working within agile development environments
- Experience partnering closely with front-end engineering teams to translate design concepts into production-ready solutions
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Ability to create diagrams, presentations, prototypes, and wireframes
- Experience designing interfaces that communicate AI behavior, outputs, or probabilistic insights
- Ability to translate complex data and model information into clear visual narratives
- Experience with Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar digital design tools
- Fluency with InVision, Figma, Principle, or Framer
- Experience with component-based design systems such as Material UI
- Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, React, or Objective-C
- Experience creating UX flows for analytical and GenAI insights, recommendations, forecasting, and/or chatbots
- Experience applying and leading user-centered design processes
- Experience designing, participating in, and leveraging user research activities
- Deep systems thinking skills, including modularity, data and program hierarchy, inheritance, and flow
- Ability to lead and educate novice users/customers
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work under tight deadlines
