📋 Description
- Own the [REDACTED] design system end-to-end, including visual language, interaction patterns, accessibility guardrails, and consistency rules
- Maintain and extend the Storybook component library to ensure components are correct, documented, performant, accessible, and easy to compose
- Build and maintain prototyping tooling, including design tokens, AI-prompt scaffolds, design markdowns, and starter kits
- Consult with Product Engineers on novel UX interactions and add resulting patterns, components, or guidance to the system
- Partner with engineering to align the design system with the implementation library and identify one-off interactions for systemization
- Review prototypes, flag design-system drift, and maintain the quality bar for design output
- Track [REDACTED] plugins, AI design tooling, headless component libraries, and accessibility standards; propose productivity investments
- Provide Product Engineers with a well-tested, well-documented platform for fast, high-quality discovery and prototyping
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years combined experience across product design and front-end engineering
- Experience owning or substantially contributing to a production design system and Storybook or equivalent component library
- Strong front-end skills in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, design tokens, and accessibility best practices
- Comfort with AI-enabled design and prototyping workflows
- Ability to recognize good design and codify it into reusable patterns and components
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and outcome-oriented, with ability to prioritize without close supervision
- B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience is a strong plus
