📋 Description
- Develop clear, concise, user-focused content for digital products, including UI content and microcopy, support and service tools, knowledge base content, and product-related communications and guidance
- Create content strategies aligned with user needs, business goals, brand standards, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure consistency of messaging and tone across products and channels
- Partner with UX strategists, researchers, designers, product managers, and accessibility specialists to translate user insights into meaningful experiences
- Participate in research activities and use user testing, analytics, and research insights to inform content decisions
- Conduct content audits and maintain content inventories and change histories
- Ensure content complies with accessibility standards, legal requirements, and industry regulations
- Contribute to content governance practices and design system standards
- Build relationships across product, UX, legal, compliance, and business teams
- Facilitate discussions and gain alignment on content decisions
- Present content strategies, recommendations, and outcomes to stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams
🎯 Requirements
- Strong UX writing and content strategy experience, preferably in financial services or another highly regulated industry
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, accessible language
- Experience collaborating with UX, design, product, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with design systems, content governance, and content standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistency
- Experience working in Agile environments and iterative product development cycles
- Strong editing, proofreading, and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and navigating ambiguity
- Adherence to records management processes and Jira intake workflows
- Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, including personas, task analysis, user journeys and task flows, content audits, content strategy development, user testing, and accessibility best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, English, or a related field
- 8–10 years of experience creating digital content, focused on UX content strategy and UX writing
- Demonstrated success leading content strategy initiatives from discovery through delivery
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Ability to adapt quickly, think strategically, and navigate changing priorities
- Portfolio, professional website, or work samples showcasing UX writing and content strategy expertise; portfolio submission required
- Preferred: CMS experience; information architecture and interaction design knowledge; Microsoft Office proficiency; Jira and digital collaboration tools; financial services or regulated-industry experience; portfolio with at least 2–3 relevant work samples
