π Description
- Own the end-to-end UX/UI vision, from high-level art direction, mood, and tone through final polish in [REDACTED]
- Design and implement UI systems including HUD, menus, onboarding, and settings
- Craft game feel through micro-interactions, transitions, easing curves, screen shake, particle timing, and sound/haptic synchronization
- Build and maintain a cohesive visual design system covering typography, color, iconography, spacing, and motion language
- Prototype and iterate rapidly and independently from one-line briefs or rough sketches to polished, shippable results
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design on a small team of 3β5 people
- Balance accessibility requirements against aesthetic ambition, including colorblind modes, readability, and input-method parity across controller, keyboard/mouse, and touch
- Build reusable UI components and prototyping tools for team use
π― Requirements
- Shipped at least one commercial game with visible, personal ownership over UX/UI
- Portfolio showing both design thinking and actual in-engine implementation, not just [REDACTED]/[REDACTED] comps
- Solid grasp of animation/motion principles, including easing, timing, anticipation, and follow-through, applied to interface and feedback design
- Comfortable in [REDACTED]/[REDACTED] or similar for high-fidelity mockups, and able to translate them faithfully into engine
- Understanding of βjuiceβ and feedback-loop design
- Demonstrated self-direction and ability to drive ambiguous creative direction to a finished, polished state without heavy supervision
- Strong fundamentals in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Experience coordinating visual polish with audio and haptic feedback
