📋 Description
- Plan and conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, workflow analysis, and usability studies
- Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into personas, journey maps, service blueprints, and prioritized design opportunities
- Create information architectures, task flows, wireframes, high-fidelity interfaces, and interactive prototypes
- Design responsive experiences meeting accessibility requirements and accounting for edge cases, error states, and complex data
- Partner with product managers, analysts, engineers, and QA to turn design intent into testable acceptance criteria
- Review implemented work for usability, accessibility, and fidelity
- Resolve tradeoffs with engineering teams
- Lead research, interaction design, prototyping, and design-system work for accessible, intuitive digital products
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, visual design, psychology, information science, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience
- Seven or more years of UI/UX, product design, interaction design, or related experience, including ownership of complex products or workflows
- Portfolio demonstrating research-informed decisions, interaction design, prototyping, accessibility, and shipped outcomes
- Advanced ability to communicate design rationale and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience designing federal, defense, enterprise, data-intensive, or regulated applications preferred
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2, Section 508, responsive design, and design-token practices preferred
- Experience establishing or scaling a multi-product design system preferred
- Employment subject to required background screening
- Some assignments may require the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust determination or security clearance
