UI/UX Design Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UI UX Design Lead based in Brazil.

As UI UX Design Lead, you will own the visual and user experience direction for engaging mobile game experiences.

You will lead an internal design team while remaining hands-on with UI/UX work from initial concepts through production-ready assets.

Working closely with product, engineering, and game design teams, you will turn creative ideas into polished and intuitive interfaces.

The role combines strong visual design, interaction design, illustration, animation, and information architecture expertise.

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and attention to detail.

You will also establish efficient design processes that improve collaboration and help teams deliver outstanding mobile experiences.

This is a fully remote opportunity within a creative, international, and fast-growing mobile gaming environment.

Accountabilities

The role combines design leadership, hands-on UI/UX creation, and cross-functional collaboration to establish a strong and consistent design direction across mobile game projects.

• Lead, mentor, and guide the internal UI/UX design team.
• Own UI/UX design end-to-end for mobile games, from initial concepts through final production assets.
• Create intuitive and visually engaging mobile interfaces from scratch.
• Define and maintain a consistent UI/UX design direction across projects.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and game design teams to transform concepts into production-ready assets.
• Apply strong principles of visual design, interaction design, and information architecture throughout the product experience.
• Create and refine 2D artwork, illustrations, icons, and other visual interface elements.
• Incorporate animation and visual effects to enhance the usability and appeal of game interfaces.
• Manage several design projects in parallel while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Build and improve efficient processes that support collaboration between design and other teams.
• Review design work, provide constructive feedback, and promote high-quality design standards.
• Support the continuous evolution of UI/UX practices and workflows across the design function.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced mobile game designer with strong visual and UX expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to combine creative thinking with hands-on execution.

• 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Design Lead within mobile game development.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX fundamentals, including visual design, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Proven ability to design mobile interfaces from concept to completion.
• Strong skills in Figma and Photoshop.
• Experience with Unity is a plus.
• Strong 2D art and illustration capabilities.
• Excellent icon design skills and a strong understanding of visual composition.
• Good eye for animation, effects, and interactive elements within game interfaces.
• Ability to balance creativity with usability and production requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, or guiding other designers.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Russian and English.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
