UI Programmer, Unreal Engine (UMG & Slate) (4+ Years' Experience) | Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a UI Programmer (Unreal Engine) who will innovate and implement UI systems using Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) and Slate. You will work closely with designers, artists, and gameplay programmers to create responsive, optimized, and visually stunning UI for real-time applications and games.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust UI systems using UMG & Slate
• Translate UX/UI designs into responsive, performant in-game interfaces
• Build reusable systems, widgets, and tools to empower designers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for UI workflows and polishing
• Optimize UI performance for various platforms (PC/Console/Mobile/VR)
• Troubleshoot UI bugs and provide effective solutions
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented code

Required Skills

• 4+ years of strong proficiency and hands-on experience in Unreal Engine
• Expert in UMG & Slate UI frameworks
• Excellent C++ skills with UE API experience
• Solid understanding of UI architecture, animation, and state management
• Experience with data binding and dynamic UI generation
• Comfortable with performance profiling and optimization

Nice-to-Have-Skills

• Blueprint UI scripting skills
• Experience with Gameplay Framework, Input Systems
• Knowledge of localization, scalability, accessibility for UI
• Experience shipping titles on PC/Console/Mobile/VR
