UI Designer

[REDACTED] seeks a UI Designer to collaborate with instructional designers, web developers, and content editors to design responsive user interfaces for web-based training products. This role will also ensure that the user experience is optimal by applying principles of graphic design and user-centered design. This is an onsite or hybrid position.

Summary

The UI Designer will design and implement accessible user interfaces, ensuring functionality across various platforms. This position will also contribute to the creation of wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes, collaborating with the design and development teams to provide an optimal user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive user interfaces for a variety of training products.
• Design wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to support the development of user interfaces.
• Apply graphic design principles, visual hierarchy, and typography to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interfaces meet user needs and project requirements.
• Participate in user testing and incorporate feedback into design revisions.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

• BA/BS degree in graphic design, web design, user interface design, or related field.
• 2 years of experience as a UI/UX designer or graphic artist.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and web design tools.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and basic front-end concepts (HTML/CSS).

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

• Experience with mobile app design and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with eLearning courseware and learning management systems.
