📋 Description
- Define the quality standard for owned product surfaces and build systems that preserve it as AI generates more UI
- Drive the strategic direction, quality, consistency, adoption, and governance of [REDACTED]'s design system
- Prepare the design system for AI-driven prototyping and development
- Contribute to product strategy and drive product vision with product leads
- Solve system-level design challenges involving information architecture, shared components, and cross-surface consistency
- Lead quantitative and qualitative research across the product area
- Coach and grow designers; lead design initiatives, reviews, and process improvements
- Communicate design rationale and strategy to cross-functional and executive audiences
- Lead design on complex initiatives across product teams and represent design to product and engineering leadership
🎯 Requirements
- 8+ years designing complex B2B SaaS products
- Demonstrated experience operating above a single product team
- Direct experience owning or significantly shaping a design system, including component strategy, documentation, adoption, and governance
- Experience with token-based design systems and component libraries spanning Figma and Storybook
- Background at a design-forward, product-led company recognized for design as a differentiator, or equivalent demonstrated top-tier craft
- Ability to manage ambiguous, cross-team initiatives autonomously from problem framing through execution
- Strong track record mentoring designers and shaping team practices or standards
- Excellent communication skills and experience influencing product and engineering leadership
- Experience in accounting, financial services, or other operationally complex B2B verticals preferred
- Experience leading or contributing to a design guild, community of practice, or similar cross-team design function preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must answer whether employment-visa sponsorship is currently or later required
