Staff Interaction Designer, Search Personalization

From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the [REDACTED] design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

The Search Personalization Experience team drives sustained growth in users’ personal value by supporting consistent go-to-market launches of personalization features at scale. Our mission is to accelerate Search’s evolution into a personal knowledge companion through 10x innovation and the development of AI capabilities.

US: $188000 - $274000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
• Drive a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.
• Deliver continuous launches to Search personalization that accrue significant impact to users and business over time through sustained product improvements.
• Deliver compelling insights and product solutions that provoke strategy and empower the organization with clear conviction and direction for a future AI-personalized Search.
• Deliver rapid ideation, influence, concept design, and evaluation.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience building and designing AI-powered consumer products or features.
• Experience leveraging generative AI tools and workflows for prototyping and interface exploration.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• 3 years of experience working with executive leaders.
• Experience designing for consumer native mobile applications for iOS or Android.

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.
