📋 Description

• Design product screens, components, and interfaces with attention to visual hierarchy, colour, typography, and spacing
• Work within [REDACTED]’s shared design system using existing components and design tokens consistently
• Identify and communicate edge cases or gaps in the design system
• Create visual materials for marketing, documentation, and learning content
• Collaborate closely with UX designers and engineers
• Communicate design decisions and implementation expectations
• Support engineers throughout delivery, including implementation, not only handoff
• Translate UX concepts and interaction decisions into polished, consistent visual designs
• Maintain consistent visual quality across different product surfaces
• Senior: Set and maintain visual direction for assigned product areas
• Senior: Help the wider team understand and apply established visual standards
• Senior: Contribute to development and governance of the shared design system
• Senior: Review component usage, identify inconsistencies, and document design decisions
• Senior: Propose component-library improvements when product needs are not covered
• Senior: Ensure visual consistency across multiple evolving products
• Senior: Identify dependencies and potential design conflicts across adjacent product areas
• Senior: Involve UX partners early and help shape UX and visual-design collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• Regular: At least 2 years of experience in visual and UI design
• Regular: Portfolio demonstrating strong visual execution across product interfaces and supporting visual assets
• Regular: Experience working with an established, multi-product design system
• Regular: Good command of Figma
• Regular: Ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers and engineers
• Regular: Ability to explain design intent clearly during handoff and implementation
• Regular: Confidence translating UX intent into visual design without unnecessarily redefining the interaction
• Senior: At least 5 years of experience in visual and UI design
• Senior: Portfolio demonstrating strong hands-on design skills and ability to maintain quality at a system level
• Senior: Proven experience contributing to and governing a large, multi-product design system
• Senior: Professional-level Figma skills
• Senior: Ability to communicate and justify design decisions to engineers throughout the delivery process
• Senior: Experience working within larger product teams, with responsibility for cross-product consistency and systemic design thinking
• Senior: Ability to understand how individual design decisions affect related products, components, and workflows
• Nice to have: Experience designing developer-facing, technical, or complex digital products
