About this role

About the role

Get the opportunity to work in one of the largest insurance companies in the Nordic and Baltic countries - and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and maturity of UX design in the Nordic region. We enable almost four million customers to live their fullest lives by always being by their side if something unexpected happens. Insurance is all about life and creating great user journeys - and it’s all about UX!

We offer you a workplace with engaged colleagues who contribute with visions and goals that maximize our user experience. You will be part of an inspiring workplace where we value flexibility and work-life balance, and where design plays a strategic role in shaping our digital future.

As a Senior User Experience Designer in the Nordics, you will work at both operational and strategic levels. You will design and refine digital service experiences in areas like digital sales, self-service, and enterprise systems to position [REDACTED] as the most caring insurance company. Alongside delivering high-quality design work, you will shape and steer the design direction in the Nordic market, working closely with the Nordic–Baltic design community of over 60 designers. You’ll have the freedom to drive your own strategic ideas, with the support of Nordic UX leadership, and play a central role in maturing our design practice in the region.

We currently have three open positions in the team. Two are temporary roles with an expected duration of approximately 1.5 years, while one is a permanent position focused on Mobile App Design.

What are you going to do?

  • Act as a confident user advocate in negotiations with business stakeholders, ensuring user needs shape decision-making
  • Lead and deliver strategic design initiatives that strengthen design maturity in the Baltics
  • Collaborate with UX and UI peers across the Nordic–Baltic region to align design direction and share best practices
  • Translate research insights and data into impactful design concepts, guiding them from exploration to delivery
  • Plan and conduct usability tests, synthesizing findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Ensure a consistent, accessible, and brand-aligned visual voice across [REDACTED]’s digital ecosystem

What do we expect from you?

  • Proven experience working in agile environments
  • Strong knowledge of UX and service design processes to identify user needs and mental models
  • Track record in designing e-commerce and self-service systems
  • Experience using data analytics to inform and measure design outcomes
  • Skilled in a variety of user research methods and tools
  • Proficiency in [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and other collaboration tools
  • Excellent communication skills (especially in English) - able to clearly articulate complex ideas, influence stakeholders, and build alignment
  • A portfolio demonstrating both hands-on UX/UI work and strategic design impact

Our promise to you

  • Monthly salary: €3500 - €4000 gross depending on your qualifications
  • Strong company culture: knowledge sharing, company events, interesting speakers, and other inspiring initiatives
  • Career and development opportunities
  • Challenging and exciting projects with autonomy to plan own tasks
  • Extra vacation days, annual bonus, great insurance benefits, discounts on our products for you and your family, gifts, etc.
  • A flexible hybrid work model, with our office as the main workplace
  • A recently renovated office in Riga center with a 24/7 gym on the premises
