JOB TITLE: Senior UX Designer - 12 Month FTC
Grade: Grade E
SALARY: £61,344 - £68,160
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively alongside a full design team and take full ownership of their design output. They will be confident when presenting their work to collaborators, and able to adapt designs to reflect their feedback and feedback from user research and usability testing.
- Skilfully craft the end-to-end user experience, bringing together a cohesive journey step by step, creatively using components from a central design system to figure out the right balance of content and UI (User Interface) elements on screen
- Bring designs to life with a choice of prototyping software, such as Sketch / InVision / Figma / Axure / Adobe XD
- Balance business requirements with user needs – you'll be gathering user research and rationale to align customers on individual user needs. You’ll know when to diplomatically push back, if necessary, to act on what’s right for the customer
