Senior UI/UX Design Manager

We are seeking a UI/UX Design Senior Manager to lead the design and governance of learner experience, interaction models, usability standards, and accessibility practices across education products ensuring learning effectiveness, engagement, and consistency in alignment with learning design best practices and company strategies.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Ownership of Learner Experience Design and Strategy

• Define and document learner journey frameworks across digital and blended education products.
• Establish interaction models that support instructional intent and learning science principles.
• Translate learning objectives into effective user experiences through structured interaction design.
• Ensure learner-centered design thinking is integrated into product planning and development phases.

UX Standards & Design Systems for Interactivity

• Develop, document, and maintain UX standards governing interactivity across platforms.
• Define and evolve interaction design systems to ensure consistency across products.
• Establish clear decision frameworks for interaction patterns, navigation systems, and engagement mechanics.
• Partner with Manager of Production Design, Print and Senior Production Designer, Digital to ensure standards are translated appropriately into print and digital execution environments.
• Provide written guidelines and reference documentation to support distributed execution authority.

Accessibility & Usability Governance

• Establish accessibility standards in alignment with recognized best practices and applicable regulations.
• Ensure inclusive design principles are embedded in interaction models and user flows.
• Conduct usability reviews and heuristic evaluations of education products.

Experience Validation & Analytics

• Define experience success metrics tied to engagement and learning outcomes.
• Implement validation methods including usability testing, learner feedback analysis, and behavioral analytics in coordination with Marketing Research.

What will make you successful here:

• Bachelor's degree in human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Instructional Design, Cognitive Psychology, Learning Sciences, Education or related field; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in UX design, interaction design, or learner experience architecture, preferably within adult learning or education environments.
• Demonstrated experience developing UX standards or interaction design systems across multiple products.
• Strong understanding of accessibility principles and usability methodologies.
• Experience conducting usability testing and interpreting engagement analytics.
• Strong strategic thinking and system-level problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written documentation skills for the creation of standards and governance artifacts.

Pay: $103,900.44 - $125,127.41 per year
