About this role

Job description

A patient relearning to speak after a stroke opens myReha every morning. The care you put into every screen becomes part of their recovery.

[REDACTED] builds the digital tools that make neurological rehabilitation work outside clinic walls: myReha, the patient therapy app, and nyra insights, the clinician platform. 100+ clinics, 100K+ patients across DACH. 3× MRR growth target for 2026. €20M Series A. Team of 50+. Ownership, excellence and patients first — that’s how we drive progress together. Working closely with our Product Design Lead, who owns UX strategy, research and flows, you'll be the dedicated UI specialist in our design team: the person who shapes how every screen of myReha and nyra insights looks, feels and ships across iOS, Android and web. You'll build on our existing Figma component library and collaborate with our Brand Designer, frontend engineers and founders.

Location: Vienna, Austria or Germany preferred with regular Vienna office visits.

If that resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll work on

  • UI craft: bring pixel-level polish to every screen, state and platform of myReha and nyra insights. Clear, calm interfaces make a real difference to patients working through their therapy every day.
  • Production-ready UI: turn flows and product direction into polished, buildable screens. Layout, typography, color, iconography, motion and every edge state (empty, loading, error, success).
  • Working in the system: design with our existing component library and tokens in Figma, and have a real say in how it evolves: where a component needs to change or a new pattern earns its place.
  • Design-to-code parity: work as a peer with frontend engineers. You follow your designs all the way into production and make sure what ships matches what you designed.
  • Accessibility: WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA in every screen from day one. Our patients include people with neurological conditions and motor impairments. For us, accessibility is part of good craft.

Job requirements

Must-have

  • Demonstrated senior-level craft: you've owned UI quality on a shipped product end-to-end and have a portfolio to show it. Your interfaces feel considered, with typographic rhythm, optical spacing, restraint with color, purposeful motion and thorough state design.
  • Experience shipping digital products across mobile and/or web.
  • Strong Figma skills across components, variables, auto-layout and shared libraries. You work comfortably inside an existing design system.
  • You work as a peer with frontend engineers: you speak their language, understand constraints, and don't let implementation drift
  • Startup fit: you enjoy the room a small team gives you. You're hands-on and proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and move fast without a big team around you. You think in solutions and ask early when something's unclear. You've probably worked in a startup or small team before.
  • Mission fit: you want your craft to matter, and designing for patients in recovery genuinely motivates you.
  • AI in your practice: you already use AI tools daily in your design and delivery work, and you're excited to push how AI accelerates craft
  • Languages: fluent English and at least B1 German

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for users with cognitive or physical impairments
  • Healthcare, mental health, or assistive technology background
  • Motion design or interactive prototyping skills

Why [REDACTED]

  • Craft that patients feel — the screens you design accompany thousands of patients through their neurological recovery every day.
  • Patients first, always — everything we build is measured by patient outcomes. What you ship becomes part of someone's therapy.
  • Ownership & direct access — you'll see the direct impact of your work and be accountable for outcomes. Founders, ML engineers, and practicing clinicians are in the same room; decisions move fast and you're part of them.
  • Transparent, direct culture — open communication and honest feedback are how we operate.
  • AI-native — every team member has Claude Pro and is expected to use AI tools daily.

  • [REDACTED] (Vienna-based roles)

  • Flexible hours (role-dependent)
  • Vienna First District office with regular team events

The process

  1. Intro call (~30 min) with People & Culture: your background, motivations, the role and [REDACTED]
  2. Portfolio walkthrough (~45 min) with our Product Design Lead: walk us through your best UI work: two or three screens or flows you shipped and owned. We're most interested in your decisions: what were the constraints, what did you trade off, what would you change?
  3. Founders' interview (~45 min) with our founders: your approach, philosophy and how you'd shape patient experience at [REDACTED]
