Senior Product Designer

Melbourne | Hybrid (2 days in office) Permanent - $130K - $160K + super

I'm partnering with a fast-growing Melbourne SaaS business that's looking to hire a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of a significant product area and help shape the future direction of its platform.

This isn't a traditional UX role where requirements are handed to you. You'll own problems from discovery through to delivery, working closely with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to define what gets built and how it's delivered. The role has a genuine product focus, with the opportunity to influence strategy, challenge thinking and make decisions that have a real impact on the product roadmap.

What you'll be doing

• Own a core product area from discovery through to delivery.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to shape product direction.
• Conduct research and turn customer insights into intuitive product experiences.
• Design high-quality, scalable user experiences for a complex SaaS platform.
• Contribute to and evolve a design system.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented as intended.
• Use AI tooling to improve productivity and accelerate your workflow.

About you

You'll likely bring:

• 5+ years' experience in Product Design.
• Experience designing complex B2B or SaaS products.
• Ownership of products or major product areas end-to-end.
• Strong product thinking and commercial judgement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Expert Figma skills and experience building scalable design systems.
• A good understanding of front-end development principles and engineering constraints.
• Experience working in ambiguous, fast-paced product environments where you're expected to think independently rather than simply execute.
