Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) – Part-Time | On-Site
About this role
About the role
You will be responsible for improving and refining the UI/UX across a mobile application, with a strong focus on usability, visual quality, consistency and user engagement. You will work closely with the founder and development team from the Melbourne office, taking existing designs and product flows and elevating them into a polished, intuitive and highly engaging user experience, must have good knowledge on social media.
Key responsibilities
- Review and improve existing app screens and user journeys
- Create polished, modern mobile UI designs
- Improve navigation, usability and overall user experience
- Design new features and flows in Figma
- Create and maintain a consistent design system
- Produce developer-ready designs, components and specifications
- Work directly with developers during implementation
- Review implemented designs to ensure they accurately match approved designs
- Identify UX issues and recommend practical improvements
- Help ensure the product is polished and launch-ready
About you
- Strong commercial UI/UX product design experience
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating high-quality mobile app design
- Advanced Figma skills
- Strong understanding of iOS and Android design principles
- Experience designing consumer-facing mobile applications
- Excellent understanding of user journeys, interaction design and usability
- Strong visual design, typography, spacing and layout skills
- Experience creating scalable design systems and reusable components
- Ability to work closely with software developers and understand implementation constraints
- Ability to take ownership and work quickly without sacrificing quality
