About this role

At [REDACTED]’s Ground Mount team, product managers, designers, and engineers work closely together to accelerate the transition to green energy by providing our customers with software that helps design high-performing and economical photovoltaic (PV) parks. Your role in the team would be to foster shared understanding of users’ needs and help shape the product in a direction that helps serve those needs while also serving business goals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver product functionalities that are proven to be well-designed.
  • Own and drive improvements of user experience and business metrics.
  • Conduct research and usability tests by having frequent touchpoints with [REDACTED]’s users.
  • Analyze the impact your design initiatives had to end-users and communicate these findings to the wider product team.
  • Create various design artifacts, such as wireframes, users flows and prototypes to make informed product decisions.
  • Be the voice that educates the organization on best UX practices and maintains high design maturity standards.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve the way [REDACTED] design team works.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a product designer (having designed complex enterprise products is a big plus).
  • Strong track record of building high-quality products that effectively serve the needs of both customers and the business.
  • Customer-centricity and outcome-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to comfortably engage in detailed conversations about strategy and product design with both non-technical and technical audiences.
  • Fluency in doing discovery research and conducting usability tests that result in actionable findings.
  • Ability to base your design decisions on solid reasoning and evidence from research/testing.
  • Ability to story-tell and present your design ideas in an understandable manner.
  • Familiarity with UX best practices and design terminology.
  • Great design tools skills such as Figma, XD or Sketch (we work with Figma).
  • Good understanding of Windows OS and it’s UI patterns (Familiarity with AutoCAD is a big plus).
  • Ability to comfortably work (or eagerness to learn) in a technical domain involving 3D modeling, physics and electrical engineering.
  • C1 or above English language skills (excellent written and verbal communication).
