📋 Description

• Shape the core member experience across iOS, Android, and web
• Own design for onboarding, listing homes, finding and applying for sits, matching sitters and owners, and preparing for stays
• Act as the primary designer in the squad and influence area strategy
• Conduct discovery research and testing, including interviews, usability testing, and concept testing
• Measure impact using product analytics and qualitative signals to guide iteration
• Define problems and hypotheses with the squad and select appropriate validation methods
• Design AI-powered matching, personalisation, and communication features with trust and transparency
• Use AI tools daily for exploration, prototyping, and synthesis
• Collaborate with product, engineering, user research, content, data, and commercial teams
• Communicate design rationale, facilitate workshops, and negotiate trade-offs
• Contribute to and evolve the cross-platform design system
• Map journeys and service relationships to build scalable solutions
• Champion craft and accessibility
• Own the product design process end to end

🎯 Requirements

• Strong systems thinking and experience designing complex customer journeys end to end
• Ability to set customer-centric vision and translate it into practical, phased delivery while balancing member needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Hands-on user research skills, including interviews, usability testing, and concept testing
• Ability to frame complex challenges as clear problem statements and testable hypotheses
• Solid understanding of experimentation methods and when to use each
• Exceptional interaction and visual design craft with meticulous attention to detail
• Advanced prototyping skills and experience working within mature design systems
• Deep knowledge of mobile interface guidelines and best practices
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end, user-centred work with measurable customer and business impact
• Confident daily use of AI-assisted design and prototyping tools
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Comfort working in empowered, cross-functional squads
• Experience in scale-ups with strong product and experimentation culture
• Experience designing native iOS and Android experiences, in addition to web
• Nice to have: AI/ML-powered feature design, two-sided marketplaces, subscription or membership businesses, trust and safety-sensitive products, [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], or [REDACTED]
