What looks simple on the surface sits on top of some of the most complex machinery in software: pipelines pulling from 150+ sources, running every hour of every day, failing in a hundred different ways and recovering before anyone notices.

Your job is to make all of that feel obvious.

This is one of the harder product design jobs going in India right now, and we want you to know that upfront. You are not designing a three-screen consumer app or a marketing site. You are designing for data engineers and analysts. They are technical, they are in a hurry, and they have no patience for design that gets in their way. If a workflow confuses them, they do not "figure it out." They leave. Good design here is not decoration. It is the product.

One more thing before you read further: this role is AI-first, and we mean it as a requirement, not a bonus. We explain exactly what that means below. Please read it closely.

What you will own

• The experience of complex workflows. You will own the UX for the hard, high-stakes parts of the product end to end, from research and problem framing to the final shipped screen. Large scope, real ambiguity, technical users.
• The full design process, not a slice of it. User journeys, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups. You take a fuzzy problem and turn it into something people can actually use, then you stand in front of product, engineering, and customers and explain why you made the calls you made.
• The design system. You will extend and strengthen the system that keeps the [REDACTED] dashboard feeling like one product instead of ten. Consistency at our scale is a real, engineering-grade problem, not a coat of paint.
• Shipping, measured. You will watch how people actually use what you built, read the data honestly, and change your mind when the numbers tell you to. Designers who fall in love with their first idea do not do well here.
• The bar for the whole team. You will push product and engineering to care about the details most teams skip: accessibility, edge cases, the unglamorous states. Seniority here means raising everyone's standard, not just doing your own work well.

What "AI-first" means here

We mean two things, and we need both.

1. One: you design AI-native products, not old screens with an AI button bolted on. The best software today is being rebuilt around what AI can now do: agents, generation, suggestions, systems that act on a user's behalf. These experiences behave differently from the deterministic screens most of us grew up designing. They are probabilistic. They are wrong sometimes. They need new patterns for trust, control, and letting a user correct the machine. You should have real opinions on how to design for this, and ideally, work that shows it.
2. Two: AI is part of your daily craft. You use it to research faster, generate directions, write product copy, and build working prototypes in hours instead of weeks. You are not precious about doing everything by hand. The strongest designers we are meeting today treat AI like the sharpest junior on their team and direct it well. That is the bar we are hiring against.

If you are curious about AI but have not actually shipped with it, this role will be a stretch, and we would rather say that now than waste your time.

Who you are

• 4 to 8 years designing and shipping real products inside a cross-functional team. In-house, not agency-only.
• SaaS background. You have designed software that businesses pay for and rely on every day. This is a requirement.
• Web app design experience. You have designed complex, interactive web applications, not just websites, mobile screens, or brand work. This is a requirement.
• AI-first, in both senses above. This is a requirement.
• Strong UX for technical or enterprise products. You are comfortable when the subject matter is hard and the users know more than you do.
• A portfolio that shows your thinking, not just your pixels. We want to see the problem, the messy middle, the decisions you made, and the result.
• Fluent in the tools, [REDACTED] above all, plus whatever helps you prototype and test quickly.
• A strong communicator. You can explain a design decision to an engineer, a PM, and a customer, and win each of them over on the merits.

Why this is worth your time

At most companies, design sits at the end of the line. Someone hands you a spec, you make it look good, it ships. Not here.

You will sit with product and engineering from day one, not get handed the leftovers. Your work goes live in front of teams at companies like [REDACTED] and [REDACTED].
