About this role

Design calm, clear tools for people seeking answers

[REDACTED] is a privacy-first digital health product making evidence-based screening for autism and ADHD traits easier to access. Our free screening requires no account, supports 12 languages and combines validated instruments including AQ-10 and ASRS-5. It is an educational screening tool—not a diagnosis.

We are looking for a thoughtful Product Designer / UX Researcher to improve the end-to-end experience—from the first question through results, reports and next steps. This remote role suits a designer who can balance accessibility, trust, conversion and sensitive user needs.

What you will own

  • Map and improve journeys across screening, results, report purchase and follow-up resources.
  • Turn complex or emotionally sensitive information into calm, understandable interfaces.
  • Plan lightweight, ethical research and usability testing without collecting unnecessary health data.
  • Create flows, prototypes and production-ready UI for responsive web experiences.
  • Build accessible patterns for focus, readability, sensory comfort and cognitive load.
  • Partner with engineering and growth to run experiments while protecting user trust.
  • Evolve a practical design system that works across products and 12 languages.

What we are looking for

  • A strong product design portfolio showing shipped web or mobile work.
  • Excellent interaction, visual and information-design skills.
  • Fluency with [REDACTED] or comparable tools and comfort collaborating with engineers.
  • Understanding of accessibility, responsive design and research fundamentals.
  • Empathy without assumptions, especially when designing for neurodivergent users.
  • Clear written English and dependable remote communication.

Nice to have: digital health, accessibility audits, design systems, localisation, conversion research or professional familiarity with neurodiversity. Lived experience is welcome but never required or requested as medical disclosure.

Why join

  • Work on a product where small UX improvements can reduce anxiety and confusion.
  • Own meaningful design problems across education, assessment and personalised reporting.
  • Remote, flexible collaboration with direct access to implementation and outcomes.
  • This role is open to a contractor engagement; compensation and scope are discussed based on experience, location and availability.
