📋 Description

• Shape [REDACTED]'s core product experience
• Design the core [REDACTED] UI from whiteboarding with engineers through shipping
• Make execution timelines, retries, queues, state, and failures readable for engineers
• Maintain a consistent mental model across the UI, SDKs, and documentation
• Visually communicate durable execution and preserve the product's design quality
• Create interactive and animated explanations of [REDACTED]'s architecture and differentiators
• Use motion to communicate the system's state, time, and dynamism
• Produce developer-facing content, blog illustrations, social visuals, and related materials
• Keep the external visual language coherent with the product's internal visual language
• Build scalable design systems for architecture diagrams, code visualizations, and interactive elements
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering, iterating from initial sketches through shipped work
• Work directly with engineers and the wider founding team

🎯 Requirements

• Several years designing tools, dashboards, or platforms involving complex software
• Portfolio covering complex product design and visual work explaining technical concepts
• Information design skills, including hierarchy, density, progressive disclosure, and prioritization
• Visual storytelling for technical concepts
• Brand and campaign craft, including layout, typography, illustration, and launch visuals
• Motion design ability to communicate state, time, and dynamism
• Experience with scalable design systems, reusable components, and patterns
• Strong visual design sensibility and ability to set direction autonomously
• Technical curiosity and ability to understand the product well enough to design from understanding
• Writing skills for labels, empty states, error messages, and headlines
• AI literacy and use of AI to multiply impact and unblock work
• Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and working directly with the founding team
• Nice-to-have: prior work on developer tools, infrastructure, or AI products
• Nice-to-have: experience building or contributing to a production design system
• Nice-to-have: prototyping in code or sufficient HTML and CSS to communicate ideas precisely
• Must be authorized to work in the country of residence without visa sponsorship, now and in the future
