[REDACTED] is Australia's leading manufacturer of recreational vehicles, proudly designing and building quality products for Australian and international markets. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our R&D team at our Dandenong South head office.
About the Role
You will play a key role in designing and developing cabinetry, furniture and interior fit-outs across the [REDACTED] product range. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to develop production-ready designs that meet quality, functionality and manufacturing requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer from a cabinetry, furniture or domestic joinery background looking to work on innovative products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
[REDACTED] operates on a 9-day fortnight, allowing employees to work a compressed schedule and enjoy every second Friday off.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cabinetry, furniture and interior fitouts for [REDACTED] products.
- Produce detailed SolidWorks drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop practical design solutions that meet customer expectations, manufacturing capability and cost targets.
- Select suitable materials, hardware and finishes for cabinetry and furniture applications.
- Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve design and production challenges.
- Assist with engineering revisions, product improvements and new product development projects.
- Ensure designs comply with quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
About You
You are an experienced Product Designer with a strong understanding of cabinetry, furniture or domestic joinery design. You enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively and designing products that are both functional and manufacturable.
Ideally, you will have:
- Extensive experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in cabinetry, furniture or domestic joinery design.
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction, furniture design, materials and hardware.
- Advanced SolidWorks experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
