About this role

Job Description

At [REDACTED], our mission is to bring global citizens and businesses together by simplifying life’s most important payments. Our world-class payments network and human-centric customer service touches a vast global community across 15,000+ partners, 235 territories and two flagship brands, [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. We are reshaping the age-old property market by connecting the dots across the entire ecosystem, from buyers and sellers to legal service firms and title companies to property management, banks and real estate agents.

Our goal is to become the leader in payments and embedded software for international property. We are a diverse team of over 800 employees across 10 offices worldwide, working together to connect the dots for hundreds of thousands of customers around the world. Our B2B and Real Estate solutions are designed to streamline transactions and enhance user experience across the globe.

We are looking for a Product Designer II to help us improve the quality and speed of product discovery and delivery.

The Role

Our design team is small and nimble, spanning marketing and product, allowing fluid interaction across the customer journey with immediate organisational impact. You'll bring strong UX expertise, validate proposed experiences with customers, and help turn our existing design system into a practical capability used across Product, Design and Engineering.

You will work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to validate critical journeys before development, accelerate the design system already being built, and establish a repeatable way for Product teams to create realistic, near-production prototypes using approved components.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead UX research and validation

  • Plan and run user interviews, usability tests and other validation activities for key product journeys.
  • Identify the assumptions and risks that should be tested before significant engineering investment.
  • Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for Product and Engineering.
  • Challenge proposed solutions constructively and help teams improve journeys based on customer evidence.

Improve critical product journeys

  • Partner with Product Managers from the early stages of discovery through implementation.
  • Review and improve flows, interaction patterns and information architecture across complex customer journeys.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes where deeper design exploration or customer validation is required.
  • Balance customer needs, business objectives and technical constraints.

Accelerate the existing design system

  • Provide hands-on support to speed up the design system work already underway.
  • Help maintain and evolve the system through active product initiatives rather than treating it as a separate project.
  • Work with Engineering to keep design components and production components aligned.
  • Identify inconsistencies and opportunities to simplify or standardise the experience across products.

Enable design-system-based prototyping

  • Connect the existing design system to an appropriate prototyping tool or workflow.
  • Establish clear guidance for how Product can prototype independently without creating inconsistent or non-viable patterns.
  • Create a repeatable process in which Product explores journeys, Design validates and improves them, and Engineering implements them with less interpretation and rework.

Strengthen cross-functional ways of working

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering throughout discovery and delivery.
  • Provide clear feedback on proposed journeys and implementation quality.
  • Help define lightweight working practices for research, validation, prototyping and design-system contribution.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly and build alignment across stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

Strong UX research experience

  • You can independently plan and conduct user interviews and usability testing.
  • You know how to identify the right research questions, select an appropriate method and turn findings into product decisions.

Product and interaction design expertise;

  • You have experience designing complex digital journeys and can move confidently between user flows, interaction design and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • You focus on clarity, usability and outcomes rather than visual polish alone

Prototyping capability

  • You are experienced with component-based prototyping and can establish workflows that allow non-designers to create realistic journeys safely.
  • You can determine where Product should work independently and where Design involvement is necessary.

Autonomy and pragmatic leadership

  • You can lead projects with limited supervision, prioritise effectively and make sound day-to-day decisions.
  • You are comfortable challenging assumptions while remaining collaborative and focused on delivery.

Clear cross-functional communication

  • You can explain the rationale behind design decisions and build strong relationships with Product Managers and Engineers.
  • You are comfortable working across locations and collaborating with distributed teams.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first six months, you will have:

  • Validated several critical customer journeys before development
  • Introduced a repeatable approach to UX research and usability testing
  • Accelerated the existing design system and improved its documentation
  • Established stronger alignment between design and production components
  • Enabled Product Managers to create realistic prototypes using approved components
  • Reduced rework and ambiguity between discovery, design and implementation
  • Improved consistency across key product experiences
