📋 Description
- Lead product design projects or small teams according to engagement needs
- Contribute as a senior individual contributor when required
- Improve existing products and deliver measurable gains in usability, conversion, or workflow efficiency
- Evaluate live product interfaces in collaboration with engineering
- Make and defend visual and UI decisions involving forms, workflows, CTAs, hierarchy, and layout
- Explain design rationale and the problems solved to audiences from engineers to executives
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops
- Lead business reviews and strategic planning sessions with senior stakeholders
- Mentor and develop other designers through example and critique
🎯 Requirements
- 6–10+ years of UX/Product Design experience, ideally including time in a consultancy, agency, or embedded-team setting where you've owned client or stakeholder relationships directly
- Demonstrated ability to flex between leading a project or small team and contributing as a senior individual contributor
- Track record of improving existing products with measurable wins on usability, conversion, or workflow efficiency
- Strong visual and UI judgment for forms, workflows, CTAs, hierarchy, and layout
- Comfort working closely with engineering against live implementations
- Ability to articulate design decisions and the problems they solve to engineers and executives
- Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and leading business reviews or strategic planning sessions with senior stakeholders
- Nice to have: background designing for regulated or enterprise domains such as finance, compliance, GRC, or banking
- Nice to have: experience designing software embedded inside third-party platforms
- Nice to have: familiarity with mature component libraries and design systems such as MUI
- Nice to have: experience mentoring or leveling up other designers
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript a plus
- Degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience (nice to have)
