About this role

Overview

🚀 We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.

We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.

With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products – we want to solve problems and change lives through [REDACTED] ❤️

📍London (Hybrid) / UK Remote | 💰 £90,000 – £110,000 + Incentive Awards tied to your performance + Benefits ✨

⭐Our Design team

We’re a team of 115+ designers, researchers, and brand experts led by Chief Design Officer [REDACTED]. We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone. Product Design makes up over half of our design disciplines, working in tight-knit squads alongside research, product, engineering and data to solve real customer problems at scale.

We design for the “magic moments”

We’ve built a bank that feels human, not just functional. Our product is our personality. We blend research, empathy, data and craft to turn everyday interactions into memorable experiences.

Right now, we’re growing fast and looking for passionate designers to shape [REDACTED]’s future — and there’s a huge opportunity to make your mark.

🌱 About Growth

Our Growth collective is focused on helping more people discover [REDACTED], understand what makes us different, and find the products that can make money work better for them.

For this role, you’ll have a particular focus on our web experiences, helping us rethink how people discover, explore and choose [REDACTED] before they ever open the app. You’ll combine strong visual and interaction design with a data-informed mindset, using experimentation and customer insight to understand what works and continuously improve the experience.

You don’t need to have worked in a dedicated Growth team before. We’re interested in designers who are curious about customer behaviour, comfortable using data to inform their decisions, and excited by the opportunity to apply exceptional craft to high-impact customer journeys.

🔑You’ll play a key role by…

  • Leading the design of high-quality web experiences that help new and existing customers discover the value [REDACTED] can bring to their financial lives.
  • Using quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities, understand customer behaviour and make informed design decisions.
  • Turning customer and business problems into clear hypotheses, designing experiments and using what you learn to shape what we do next.
  • Bringing exceptional visual and interaction craft to our web experiences, creating work that feels unmistakably [REDACTED] while driving meaningful customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Tackling complex and ambiguous design challenges, balancing customer needs, business goals and technical constraints to create simple, effective experiences.
  • Defining compelling product visions and direction, helping teams think beyond individual experiments towards a coherent long-term customer experience.
  • Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Research throughout the design process, bringing people together around customer problems and opportunities.
  • Using AI to level-up parts of your design workflow. Whether that’s ideation, analysis, prototyping or shipping production code.
  • Taking a pragmatic approach to experimentation — moving quickly when we need to learn, while knowing when an experience needs a higher level of craft and polish.
  • Acting as a role model in Design, sharing your work broadly, mentoring others, and contributing to the growth and success of the wider Design team.

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have a proven track record of designing high-quality web experiences, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong visual and interaction design craft.
  • You’re comfortable using data to inform your design decisions, partnering with Data Scientists or Analysts to understand customer behaviour and measure the impact of your work.
  • You can connect great customer experiences with measurable outcomes and understand how design can contribute to wider product and commercial goals.
  • You’re comfortable forming hypotheses, experimenting with different approaches and adapting your thinking as you learn.
  • You can balance speed and experimentation with a high bar for craft, knowing when to prototype quickly and when to invest in creating an exceptional final experience.
  • You’re a natural collaborator who can bring together Product, Engineering, Data, Research and other partners around complex customer problems.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and can create clarity and direction when the answer isn’t immediately obvious.
  • You’re comfortable thinking beyond an individual screen or experiment, connecting work across journeys and helping shape a longer-term vision.
  • You’re a role model who actively contributes to the growth of the Design team through mentoring, feedback and sharing your expertise.
  • You’re excited about [REDACTED]’s mission to make money work for everyone and the opportunity to help more people discover the value of [REDACTED].

🙌What’s in it for you

  • 💰 £90,000 – £110,000 + Incentive Awards tied to your performance.
  • ✈️ We’ll help you relocate to the UK.
  • ✅ We can sponsor your visa.
  • 📍This role can be based in our London office, but we’re open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London).
  • ⏰We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team.
  • 📚£1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences.
  • 🏡We will set you up to work from home; all employees are given Macbooks and for fully remote workers we will provide extra support for your work-from-home setup.
  • ➕ Plus lots more!

🌈 The application journey has 3 key steps

  1. 30-minute call with our Recruiter, [REDACTED]
  2. 1-hour craft interview where you’ll present a single case study to 2 members of our Design team
  3. 2 x 45-minute interviews covering Teamwork and Impact

This process should take around 4 weeks – your schedule is really important to us, so we promise to be as flexible as possible!

We have some guidelines on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ace an application and interview at [REDACTED]. You can read them here.

We’ll only close this role once we have enough applications for the next stage. Please submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out.
