Lead Interaction Designer
About the role
My client, a central government department, require a Lead Interaction Designer, where you will be responsible for leading a team of Interaction Designers to design services focused on user needs, while working with stakeholders to resource projects and promote a better understanding of design.
Main responsibilities
- working closely with other professional leads, Delivery Managers and Heads of Role
- building an inclusive community of practice that enables designers across the portfolio of work to share ideas, best practice and proactively help and support each other
- working with senior stakeholders to raise awareness and understanding of the value of user-centred design
- line managing, supporting and mentoring a team of Interaction Designers over multiple projects, providing them with guidance, training and constructive feedback
Other day to day activities
Must have prior government experience and understand government design principles and methodologies. SC clearance is also required
