What we are looking for:

We are in search of a full-time Junior UI/UX Designer to join our team. This role requires a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. You will assist our Lead Designer with designing engaging and intuitive user interfaces, enhancing user experience in our products, and working collaboratively with our team to bring innovative ideas to life. This is a full-time position that must reside in the U.S. and in the Central or Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Lead Designer to design and implement wireframes, prototypes, user stories, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices.
  • Assist the dev team with converting Figma designs into working development components.
  • Use AI-assisted design tools (Figma Make, the Figma AI agent, Claude Code, Claude Design) to speed up wireframing, prototyping, and design-to-dev handoff.
  • Work across multiple concurrent projects, balancing shifting priorities and timelines
  • Document the design ecosystem including guidelines, brand standards, and processes.
  • Identify and solve design challenges, focusing on user experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Embrace and advocate for new design ideas and approaches.
  • Conduct or assist with user research, usability testing, and feedback collection to inform design decisions
  • Apply accessibility best practices (WCAG/ADA) to ensure inclusive design

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of UI/UX design experience

  • Experience with the full Figma suite (Design, FigJam, Slides, Sites, Dev Mode) for wireframing, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration is a MUST

  • Strong knowledge of Figma Auto Layout and Variables for building scalable, responsive components

  • Graphic design skills are a plus, with the ability to create supporting visual assets like banners, print/merch graphics, and icons

  • General understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Excellent visual design skills and attention to user-system interaction

  • Knowledge of current UI trends, techniques, and technologies

  • Availability for a Mon-Fri 8a-5p Eastern schedule

  • Able to travel for onsite strategy sessions
