Engineering Manager

They have an exceptional ability to foster and maintain highly collaborative and effective relationships across disciplines and departments.

This position can be remote – working anywhere within the US, or on-site at our headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• People Leadership – Provides guidance and goal setting for team members to encourage professional development and advancement in their design or development skills. Conducts recruiting and hiring of exceptional engineers that complement our [REDACTED] teams. Conducts annual performance reviews, including recommendations for promotions and merit increases. Develops performance improvement plans and conducts terminations as needed. Provides support and coaching via weekly one-on-one meetings.
• Project Leadership – Manages physically distributed engineering teams in the development of requirements, architecture, system design, implementation, and testing of high quality products to deliver product roadmap commitments. Partners with Product Owner, Product Management, and customer representatives to acquire an understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements. Ensures engineering projects conform to [REDACTED] defined development methodologies and standards.
